Operating within a multicultural and rapidly developing environment, the library and its staff are committed to being active and creative partners in the teaching, research and other knowledge application activities of the university through service to the community by selecting, organizing, presenting and preserving information resources for present and future scholarly communities.
Library Objectives
To fulfill this mission, the Library commits to:
Create hospitable physical and virtual environments for study, teaching, and research;
Build collections and create tools to support research, teaching, and learning;
Disseminate knowledge and information through Current Awareness Services, Reference and Information Services and Liaison Services;
Provide materials not only in the areas of immediate concern, but also in the areas of growing importance;
Provide full bibliographic information of materials held by the library;
Promote the innovative adoption of emerging learning technologies
Ensure the digitization, preservation and long-lasting availability of Library collections and resources;
Advance local, national, and international library and information initiatives;
Develop, encourage, and sustain expertise, skill, commitment and an innovative spirit in its staff.
