Job Summary:
Finance Trust Bank is seeking to recruit 10 enthusiastic Credit Assistants specializing in Agriculture Lending. The role involves growing a quality agribusiness portfolio and mobilizing liabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mobilize and educate customers on the bank’s credit products and services.
- Conduct loan appraisals following the bank’s policies and procedures.
- Present loan proposals to the loan committee and communicate decisions to applicants.
- Disburse approved loans in accordance with lending policies and terms.
- Monitor and evaluate loan performance, ensuring adherence to disbursement terms and conditions.
- Maintain portfolio quality with specific targets on PAR, NPA, and other key performance indicators.
- Initiate recovery actions for loans in default as per the bank’s guidelines.
- Train other bank staff on effective principles of lending, particularly in agri-based enterprises.
- Undertake other duties as assigned, aligning with bank policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or degree in Agriculture or a related discipline.
- Not more than 5 years since completing school.
- Critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build working relationships and work as a team player.
- Demonstrated integrity, flexibility, and a willingness to learn.
- Professional demeanor with adherence to FTB values.
