Job Title: Regional Coordinators (10 Job Placements)

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the IDTs to conduct rapid assessments to identify capacity gaps and bottlenecks to inform UHSS technical assistance efforts.
- Work with the IDTs to ensure provision oi technical assistance in evidence -based planning, performance-based budgeting. budget advocacy, Public finance management, systems, community engagement, health policy, leadership, accountability systems and workforce management and performance systems at district level Coordinate and contribute to community systems strengthening activities at district level including capacity building of the community health workforce, data capture, reporting and utilization of community level data to inform programming.
- Contribute to the development of the UHSS integrated workplans and reports.
- Track progress against technical assistance and district annual workplans and address capacity gaps through monthly district and IDT meetings. Contribute to UHSS collaboration, learning and adapting (OLA) efforts by synthesizing implementation progress/results. documenting and disseminating best practices and lessons learned.
- Oversee data collection process at district level to advance the UHSS Activity Monitoring and Evaluation plan.
- Serve as the liaison between UHSS, the district leadership and other implementing partners/stakeholders for successful implementation of the UHSS technical assistance
- Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Degree in a health-related discipline and or social sciences. Post graduate qualification in project planning and management, public administration, public health and or related field will be of an added advantage.
- Five years of experience working closely with Local Governments and other stakeholders in relation to health systems strengthening (HSS)
- Demonstrated success in supporting and advocating with district officials and stakeholders in managing policy and / or government compliance
- Track record of consensus building and managing relationships with a range of stakeholders across sectors
- Excellent technical, report writing, communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Excellent problem solving, planning and organizing skills
- Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines while paying attention to detail
- Able to work effectively as part of a multi-cultural team
- Proactive and enthusiastic approach, with a willingness to participate in field activities/surveys and travel to remote areas within the region
