About US:
The Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) Uganda’s apex body for the private sector is collaborating with the MasterCard Foundation (MCF) to co-implement Young Africa Works in Uganda – Enhancing Lead Firm Structure for Youth Employment Program. The Intervention’s ultimate goal is to create dignified and fulfilling work for young women and men and contribute to the effort to lifting Ugandans out of poverty. The intervention focuses on creating, maintaining and sustaining growth in job markets through strengthening the capacity of actors to efficiently produce and sell their goods and services in expanded markets, developing new diversified financing mechanisms as well as growing the capacity of business leaders and their support service providers to manage and expand their enterprises. This transformative intervention will also transition Micro Enterprises to Small Enterprises.
Job Summary: The Investment Officer/Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning will support the work of the division in establishing and implementing an effective system to monitor progress, impacts and successes of project activities and performance. He/she will follow up on any grant activities and sub-grantees to ensure that the project complies with performance reporting requirements. He/ she will be the first point of contact in liaising with project partners, beneficiaries and stakeholders on matters concerning monitoring, evaluation and learning.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, economics, international development, evaluation research, statistics, or a related field from a reputable University
- At least two years’ experience in implementing results-based M&E activities;
- The applicants should be passionate young professional Ugandans with strong understanding of the private sector issues (national, regional and global)
- A passion for youth employment- men and women;
- Desire for learning and use of information for adaptation and action.
- Flexible, team player and passionate about private sector
- A commitment to the protection of youth and children
