Job Summary: The Microbiologist will ensure timely and accurate quality control testing of samples.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collect products for microbial testing
- Compute data and generate sample analytical test reports
- Ensure records are kept accurately in accordance with company guidelines
- Keenly monitor and assess samples during and after analysis especially stability samples
- Examine physiological, morphological and cultural characteristics using microscope to identify and classify microorganisms in samples
- Prepare technical reports and recommendations based on findings
- Develop new standard operating procedures for the analysis and testing of products
- Wash and sterilize all glassware and equipment in the microbial lab
- Operate scientific equipment such as autoclave, colony counter and microscope
- Calibrate and maintain performance of the equipment
- Maintain pre microbial stock
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Movit Products Limited (MPL) Microbiologist job placement should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or related field
- Three or more years’ experience in microbiological testing.
- Registration with relevant professional bodies
- High integrity and professionalism
- Good report writing skills and Computer literacy skills
- Good analytical, reporting and communication skills
- Team player, good and mature judgment
- Knowledge of regional and international practices of laboratory product quality control and assurance.
