LWF World Service is an international, faith-based organization working in over 20 countries, focusing on justice, peace, and reconciliation. LWF Uganda supports refugees in various districts.

Job Summary:
The GBV Caseworker will implement GBV activities, provide case management and counselling to GBV survivors, train and supervise community activists, and ensure high-quality services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide GBV case management services, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to SOPs.
  • Offer direct support and care for GBV survivors, including counseling and case management.
  • Follow GBV guiding principles in service delivery.
  • Work with stakeholders to integrate survivors into the community and facilitate access to livelihood opportunities.
  • Conduct routine visits to safe houses and assess survivor needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of GBV cases.
  • Provide survivors with information and resources, and make appropriate referrals.
  • Ensure adherence to protection standards and principles in GBV interventions.
  • Contribute to reporting on project activities.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Guidance and Counselling, Social Work, Social Administration, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related fields.
  • At least two years of experience in SGBV case management.
  • Ability to ride with a valid Class A driving permit.
  • Competency in information management, including MS Packages, ProGres V4, SurveyCTO.
  • Knowledge of GBV, child protection, and PSS principles.
  • Experience in women’s protection, empowerment programs, reproductive health, etc.
  • Good communication, psychosocial first aid, and interpersonal skills.
