Job Overview:

Enabel is excited to announce the availability of four positions for Project Field Officers specializing in Business and Human Rights. These roles are stationed in our project offices across Hoima, Kampala, Jinja, and Fort Portal. The successful candidates will be instrumental in coordinating and supervising the field activities related to Business and Human Rights within their respective regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the identification, prioritization, and monitoring of Business and Human Rights project activities to guarantee their participatory, adapted, and timely execution.
  • Enhancing communication and fostering collaboration among various local/community stakeholders including beneficiary populations/organizations, technical services, local administrations, and service providers.
  • Participating in technical and acceptance meetings concerning provisional and final commitments.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Social Work and Social Administration, or related fields.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in the implementation of development project/program activities.
  • Demonstrated involvement in Business and Human Rights initiatives.
  • Previous experience in sectors such as digital rights, child labor, land-based investments, and labor rights preferred.
  • Experience working with government entities, community initiatives, and the private sector is highly valued.
  • Competence to work within a multicultural environment and display gender-sensitive and non-discriminatory behavior and attitudes.
  • Possession of a motorbike license is considered an asset.
  • Alignment with Enabel’s vision, mission, and values is a must.
