- Lira City (2 positions) at Adyel Boarding Primary School Hello Hub and Adek-okawok community.
- Masaka City (2 positions) at Kitenga Community and Gayaza Community Hub.
- Yumbe District (2 positions) at Youth Center in Yumbe Town and Bidibidi Refugee Settlement Zone One.
Contract Duration: 4 Months
Start Date: January 2024

About Imagine Her:
Imagine Her is a dynamic non-profit focused on unleashing the potential of women, girls, and youth as leaders and social entrepreneurs in their communities. We are excited about implementing the innovative Project Hello World, and we invite applications for 6 Innovation Fellows across three districts.
Project Hello World:
Hello World is a pioneering not-for-profit organization dedicated to bridging the digital divide and eradicating global poverty through sustainable, scalable solutions. We specialize in setting up solar-powered internet stations, known as Hello Hubs, in marginalized communities. These hubs offer essential communication and educational resources. Our aim is to expand our reach to 85 Hubs by March 2024, many of which are in refugee settlements.
Fellowship Overview:
The Innovation Classroom Program, part of Hello World, is a groundbreaking initiative that combines an innovation fellowship with a training program. It’s designed to empower community members through a comprehensive 3-month innovation curriculum.
Primary Responsibilities:
As an Innovation Fellow, you will be integral to this program. During the 3-month tenure in your local community, your roles will include:
- Delivering the innovation curriculum.
- Engaging and empowering the community.
- Providing mentorship and support.
- Overseeing monitoring and evaluation activities.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
We’re searching for individuals dedicated to closing the digital divide in Uganda’s marginalized communities. Ideal candidates should be excellent communicators, proactive, and ready to tackle challenges while fostering innovative ideas within the community.
Essential Qualifications:
- Recent graduate (within 3 years) with a degree in Education, Entrepreneurship, Engineering, or a related field.
- Passion for innovation, training, and community work.
- Proficient in communicating complex ideas verbally and in writing in English.
- Previous facilitation experience is a plus.
- Skilled in mentoring community members.
Desirable Skills:
- Proficiency in Arabic and other local languages spoken in BidiBidi.
- Experience in delivering community training.
- Familiarity with living and working conditions in Bidi Bidi, Lira, Masaka, or Yumbe.
- Experience in community-based innovation projects.
- Fluency in local languages of the applied location is essential.
- Photography skills suitable for external communication.
