LWF Uganda currently has five areas of operation in Pader, Kitgum, Adjumani, Katakwi, Sembabule, Kampala and Kamwenge Districts.
Job Summary: The Hygiene and Sanitation Officer will be responsible for the implementation of the Water Hygiene and Sanitation program of the project area Lamwo, host community that includes promotion of Hygiene: safe water management, latrine use for defecation, solid waste disposal, vector control, and environmental health activities and participate on regular hygiene promotion activities with the government health extension workers.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Lutheran World Relief (LWR) Hygiene and Sanitation Officer job opportunity should hold a relevant field diploma or BSc Degree in the area of Environmental Health, Behavioral Science, Health Education and Promotion or Public Health
- A minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
- Exhibit commitment to LWF s mission- Improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity.
- Working knowledge of English (spoken and written)
- Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency in Office Word, and Excel
- Able to live and work with a multicultural team under difficult conditions
