Job Summary: The Agriculture Credit Analyst will analyze, review and reformulate credit proposals/packages originating from branches for presentation to credit committees in accordance to the credit policy and guidelines.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recommend credit facilities to the respective approval committee in line with evaluation and credit policy and where appropriate with suitable covenants to mitigate identified risk
- Interface with commercial loans officers, credit administrators and Managers in designated branches to obtain appropriate information to evaluate risk from a credit perspective. In need the credit analysis may interface with the client through/with the commercial loans officers
- Timely preparing credit reports for use by various stakeholders.
- Follow-up disbursement documents with the branches, and legal department and to ensure that Credit approvals under their respective branches are timely disbursed.
- Create complete credit mirror files for all cases in an accurate and neat manner in line with credit policy.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Centenary Bank Agriculture Credit Analyst job placement should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in business related disciplines.
- Three years’ experience in credit.
- Customer service skills
- Analytical skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal customers.
- Ability to multi task and work to deadlines.
- Self-discipline and self-drive.
- People management skills
- IT skills
- Clear and effective communication skills with consistent follow up and feedback to customers.
- Good report writing skills
- Effective team player
