SolarNow is an asset financing company that sells high quality solar product and appliances to households and businesses in Uganda. The company started in 2011 and has since opened 49 branches throughout Uganda, employs around 800 people.
Job Summary: The Branch Manager will meet Solarnow’s customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. You will be responsible for maximizing our sales team potential, crafting sales plans and justifying those to plans to the upper management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and follow up on the sales team’s daily performance by providing business plans and monitor performance to ensure the team meet their daily target.
- Implement marketing campaigns to ensure that all business process standards are met.
- Maintain contact and friendly relationships with customers and suppliers, building a favorable company image; by resolving problems and complaints as they arise.
- Manage branch stock by handling the movement of branch inventory and asset management of all company items.
- Maintain branch security, opening and closing of the branch to oversee overall branch activities.
- Implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base
- Conduct the recruitment, coaching and mentoring new branch staff.
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the SolarNow Branch Manager job placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree in business or management or a related field
- At least two years of managerial experience in similar role
- Ability to communicate in the native language of the region i.e. Kupsabiny, Swahili and English.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills;
- Good leadership skills
- Ability to motivate and coach a team into achieving set goals.
- Good marketing skills and a general knowledge of sales techniques.
- Must be proficient in the use of computers and software such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint.
- Should be assertive, and handle pressure effectively.
