Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Check to ensure that all plant machines are set to optimal utilization
- Check to ensure that input material and products meet quality requirements
- Follow the established procedures and guidelines to manufacture products according to production specifications and schedules; volume, cost, and wastage targets; and quality standards.
- Coordinate with Maintenance department to trouble-shoot and perform regular maintenance on equipment
- Implement good manufacturing practices such as housekeeping, labeling and records
- Monitor the normal functional status of all pumps, motors and valves and gauges etc.
- Ensure that the filters are timely cleaned and changed
- Ensure that required raw materials stocks are availed in time.
- Inspect and monitor working conditions of all machines and update the schedule checklists as required
- Ensure correct transfer of materials such as oil and raw material from one location to another.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Shift Supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Mukwano Graduate Trainee (Refinery Section) must hold a university Degree or Diploma in Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science & Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any related field with a second class upper between 2017 – 2018.
- Self-motivation with the desire to excel through learning and gaining experience, be action-oriented and have the drive to achieve results.
- Have potential for leadership growth and development, be dynamic, a team player and ready to work with people of diverse ethnicity in a multi-cultural work environment.
- Be passionate about customer care as a tool for business growth and get new customers for different products.
