LWF Uganda works to reduce people’s vulnerability, supporting them to realize their potential, to build on their assets, and to respond to their own problems and needs. LWF Uganda currently has five areas of operation in Pader, Kitgum, Adjumani, Katakwi, Sembabule, Kampala and Kamwenge Districts.
Job Summary: The Project Manager UNHCR Project will be responsible for day-to-day management of the project, supervision of staff, budget utilization, procurement, monitoring and reporting.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Lutheran World Relief (LWR) Project Manager UNHCR Project career opportunity should hold a University degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Development or other relevant field of study.
- Post graduate training in Project Planning and Management sound knowledge of Financial Management is an added advantage
- Three years’ experience in Project Management/ Community Development programming,
- Proven knowledge and experience in developing and implementing community mobilization projects
- Familiarity with standards and guidelines for Environment, Livelihoods and peace building programming and coordination
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, to remain flexible to a changing environment, and to make decisions independently
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
