Q-Sourcing Limited is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and South Sudan. They are recruiting on behalf of a valuable client in the telecommunication industry.

Job Summary:  The Head of Sales and Marketing is responsible for conceiving, developing and executing the sales & marketing strategy for ATC Uganda that would result into achieving incremental revenue, customer engagement and satisfaction, new business strategy and as well as enhancing the market coverage.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Develop strategies to enhance the width and depth of tenancies and contract renewals in order to grow revenue
  • Champion new product development and pricing initiatives in line with broader organization strategy and in line with ATC processes
  • Develop and execute below the line marketing strategies including customer engagement initiatives
  • Drive internal alignment amongst internal stakeholders in line with account strategies
  • Build and nurture vital business relationships with key influencers within the named accounts
  • Manage a consistent account management methodology across ATC
  • Manage a consistent sales methodology across ATC
  • Accurate budgeting and forecasting of top line revenue as per ATC business cycles and milestones
  • Develop collaborative working relationships with internal customers, as well as other organization markets in pursuit of the of the company’s overall business goals.
  • Take ownership of the order to cash process with the aim of ensuring organization’s effectiveness in meeting customer needs
  • Ensure brand Guidelines are met by ATC Uganda
  • Build a capable and motivated Team
  • Review Direct Reports performance and recommend appropriate rewards and recognition

Supervisory responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the performance of direct reports as well as strategic partners.
  • Proactively identify and resolve personnel issues in conjunction with Human Resources for the executive team.
  • Recruit, develop and retain staff, partnering with Senior Management and Human Resources.
  • Provide disciplined performance management for team.
  • Define and communicate annual goals, perform formal and informal performance reviews, and ensure changes and updates are communicated in a timely and professional manner.
  • Create strong collaborative team environment.

Other Duties: Other duties assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The applicant must hold a University degree.  Possession of an advanced degree and / or an MBA will be desirable
  • Professional qualification/certification in Project Management Techniques and related disciplines
  • 10+ years with a minimum of 5 years in a commercial role at senior management level
  • Technical, IT&T knowledge of wireless networking preferred
  • In-depth understanding of telecoms business
