Founded in 2005, it is a joint venture between Uganda’s Quality Chemicals Limited & Cipla Ltd, a leading Indian pharmaceutical company.
Job Summary: The Compliance and Investor Relations Manager will be responsible for managing communication between the company and its shareholder’s investors. In addition, s/he will prepare, coordinate and oversee the implementation of policies and procedures that ensure compliance with the regulatory and statutory frameworks that govern listed companies. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish a compliance monitoring framework and plan.
- Develop, periodically review and manage the implementation oi compliance risk management policies and procedures for compliance with the requirements of Capital Markets Authority (CMA), the Uganda Stock Exchange (USE) as well as other Regulatory Authorities and help the company to implement the same, in order to protect shareholder value.
- Develop, periodically review and manage the implementation of policies and procedures for compliance with CiplaOClL licensee conditions, regulations and guidelines and other relevant statutes.
- Manage communication of investor relations within the company, including issuing appropriate policy memos and documentation as required.
- Build and develop the company investment profile through focused marketing and investment drives.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law.
- Possession of a postgraduate qualification such as ICSA, ACCA or MBA will be an added advantage.
- At least five years’ compliance management experience in a regulated environment.
- Experience in an investor relations role is an essential pre-requisite and broad knowledge and understanding of compliance obligations of listed companies in Uganda.
