Job Summary: The Accountability Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant will provide technical guidance to the cluster team on Programme/Project planning, development, monitoring and evaluation in line with WV policies and standards; including maintaining systems to collect and analyze information on activities, outputs, outcomes and impact of the program.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring proper administering of M&E tools for the M&E Unit focusing on achieving the following results:
- Preparation of field tools for Data collection and participation in field pre-testing of Data collection tools.
- M&E tools are well administered according to set guidelines to randomly selected interviewees.
- M&E tools used for Data collection properly tagged or serialized for easy tracked/trace.
- Maintaining and collecting data and updating progress of work plan.
- Undertaken field trips to distribution points and commodity markets for purposes of data collection.
- Ensuring proper filing of incoming and outgoing M&E documents of various activities within M&E Unit focusing on achieving project results:
- Documents of various activities well filed and stored according to WV policy in chronological manner for easy retrieval and references.
- Data entry and Analysis of M&E tools using different packages below:
- Created data entry screens for data tools used for data capture, analysis and reporting.
- Enter and analyze data using Statistical Software Packages (STATA, SPSS, Ward, EPI INFo and/or EPI Data, and Excel.
- Enter targets and values in database systems for indicator tracking.
- Documentation and Reporting according to donor requirements and WVI standards.
- Write Monthly and Quarterly reports and summary data analysis (ODM, FBM, PDRM, PDM, Market Price and Food security Monitoring reports)
- Disseminate Monthly (PDRM, ODM, FBM, Market price and Food security Monitoring findings to REFARP Project Staff and follow up for implementation of recommendations.
- Attend monthly/quarterly REFARP project team meetings and report on monthly activities and learning.
- Document and share REFARP case studies /success stories with project implementing team
- Document and disseminate project lessons learned.
- Document program achievements for sharing with World Vision teams.
- Write weekly update report.
- Ensuring the provision of general assistance to the M&E Unit to ensure smooth execution and implementation of various activities of M&E Unit focusing on achieving the following results:
- Providing assistance in organizing various activities conducted by M&E Unit.
- Providing assistance in arranging and scheduling of various activities within the M&E unit.
- Work with Filed Coordinators to ensure sensitization and mobilization of various project activities are done
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the World Vision Accountability Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant job placement should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any development discipline.
- At least three years of work experience in managing data intensive programs in designing, monitoring, and evaluation methodologies is highly desirable.
- Must have basic knowledge in computer applications like MS Office.
- Knowledge in Statistical analysis as well as packages likes SPSS is an added advantage.
- Any experience in research or data management is also an added advantage.
- Experience in proposal writing and development, grants management, Report writing, research, monitoring and evaluation skills
- Ability to work with inter-disciplinary teams and a wide range of program/project activities
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Being a member of the Uganda Evaluation Association or any other Evaluation Association is an added advantage
- Communicating information effectively
- Thinking clearly, deeply and broadly
- Understanding the humanitarian industry

- Ability and willingness to travel and stay at remote locations that are located within potentially hostile environments.
- Able to travel within the district, country and internationally as required.
