Job Summary: The Estates and Works Officer will manage and maintain all properties and or assets of the Board and supervision of all works undertaken by the Board in accordance with the Board policies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compiling and constantly updating the property portfolio of the Board in form of an Assets Register
- Maintenance of all Boards Estates and or Assets to avoid waste loss of value
- Supervision of all sites and works undertaken by the Board and making appropriate reports
- Organizing and checking all forms of repairs and fixtures
- Maintenance of all equipment under optimal working condition
- Initiating all procurements relating to estates and works
- Making recommendations on matters of estates and works
- Liaison with relevant authorities on matters of estates and works to secure necessary authorizations
Key Performance Indicators
- Comprehensive Assets Register compiled
- Board properties in good state of utilization and none rendered to waste.
- Sites and works effectively supervised and reports of all works in place
- All repairs and fixtures attended to in good time
- All procurement are initiated according to the procurement plan
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) Estates and Works Officer job placement must hold a higher diploma in Civil Engineering
- At least five years of relevant experience gained in a busy and reputable organization.
- Attention to detail
- Interpersonal and coordination skills
- Numerical analytical abilities
- Technical report writing abilities.
- Personal Attributes: Accountability, Confidentiality, Teamwork, Innovativeness and Professionalism.
- Age limit: Eligible candidates shall be between 30 to 45 years old.
