About US:
Launched in 2011, Alliance for Food Sovereignty in Africa (AFSA) is a broad alliance of civil society actors who are part of the struggle for food sovereignty and agroecology in Africa. AFSA is registered in Uganda as a Continental Non-Governmental Organisation with the following objectives; providing a forum for discussion and analysis of food sovereignty challenges & policies and strengthening and influencing support to agroecological food production systems and advocacy.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take lead in development, planning and operation of M&E system for the organization.
- To take lead in the systematic tracking of the impact of AFSA‘s work
- Ensuring compliance to and maintenance of appropriate Monitoring, Evaluation Plans
- Prepare periodic reports and advise program management accordingly.
- Capacity building for indentified staff and partners
- Support to any other program duties as maybe assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant must hold a University degree or equivalent in statistics, economies project management, social science or related field.
- Advanced Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation.
- At least five years’ experience in designing and implementing integrated results based M&E Systems and processes.
- Should demonstrate high proficiency in use of computer applications and knowledge of database and computer based management information systems.
- Experience working in a regional NGO setting or with multi-country projects is highly preferred.
