Job Summary: The Child Development Officer (CDO)-SDR will be expected to exhibit high sense of integrity, stewardship, dignity and excellence at all levels
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as an advocate for children and caregivers
- Take lead in monitoring children’s issues.
- Generate quality children’s Program work plans and reports-monthly, quarterly and annually.
- Generate concepts and proposals related to children’s care within the Child Development Centre.
- Proper documentation and record keeping of all information within the CDC.
- To work closely with the local church in developing their child care ministry
- Responsible for holistic development of the children
- Previous supervisory experience desired
- Ability to team and is innovative
- Conversant with the local language of the area (Ateso/kumam) will be an added advantage.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma in Development Studies, Social Work, Education, Child Development and Children’s Ministry, Business Studies, Social Sciences. Community psychology and community health.
- Must be a mature born-again Christian of 25-35 years with a sound testimony willing to be an active minister in the local church where she/ he is posted
- Knowledge in counseling, guidance and Child development will be an added advantage.
- Must have good interpersonal and computer skills, a team builder and willing to take initiative with customer care
- Working ability to apply and adapt established accounting procedures to a variety of accounting transactions, problem and situations.
- Good written communication skills and strong verbal communication skills, intermediate English ability is preferred
- Skills in project planning and management will be an added advantage.
