Uganda National Meteorological Authority (UNMA) is a statutory body established by UNMA Act, 2012. The Act empowers UNMA to provide for the control and development of technically sound and scientific meteorological services in Uganda.
Job Summary: The Planner will primarily foster the execution of UNMA’s Mandate through planning, management, monitoring and evaluation of Authority programmes and projects
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares and coordinates Authority work plans and budgets
- Prepares and reviews Authority Strategic Plans and policies
- Facilitates the formulation of development projects
- Prepares reports for projects funded by Government of Uganda and Development Partners
- Provides technical advice on matters related to planning and budgeting
- Produces budget performance reports.
- Monitors and evaluates Implementation of Authority plans, programmes and projects
- Represents the Authority in different internal or external budget meetings as will be required from time to time.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Uganda National Meteorological Authority (UNMA) Planner job must hold an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or Statistics from a recognized Institution;
- A minimum of three years of relevant working experience obtained from a reputable organization serving as a planner.
- Planning, organizing and coordinating the operations of a Planning Unit

- Age: 30 years and above
