Job Summary: The Stores Keeper will take proper care and maintenance of stock including, receiving, storing, issuing and managing inventory.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive, offload, and shelve Products
- Update the Bin card to ensure that physical stock and the Bin card are matching
- Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control.
- Ensure that all products are issued only with the requisitions.
- Ensure that Products are properly arranged in the selves.
- Prepare and share out a daily report on stocks in terms of Receipts, issues and closing balance.
- Carry out Perpetual stock counts to provide accountability.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Diploma in any Business related courses or its equivalent
- Three years of experience in storekeeping and inventory control.
- Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management
- Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in Stores environment
- Analytical mind with ability to make accurate mathematical computations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Competencies in data entry.
- Skills to operate common office equipment
- Knowledge of Tally ERP 9 will be an added advantage
