About US:
Horyal Investments Holding Company Ltd has commenced the process to operationalize a leading new sugar factory at Atiak Uganda, East Africa. The Factory is jointly owned by the Government of Republic of Uganda ,with annual production capacity(APC). 60,000 Tonnes of granular sugar.
Job Summary: The Chief Cashier will guide and supervise the administering and distribution of cash allocated to Cashiers for payment of employees’ wages/salaries, and any other approved persons and keeping the strong room secure all the time. .
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Distribute wages and cash to other cashiers according to approved vouchers.
- Distribute cash to other people, employees and management on approval.
- Present cash vouchers to the Financial Controller to check the cash balances on a daily basis
- Take or withdraw money to and from the banks affiliated to the Company
- Handle the issue and closure of wages and overtime vouchers
- Supervise the activities of the Cashiers including
- Receiving /paying cashiers to ascertain the adequate comprehension of their assignments
- Handle the safety and security of Cash Office, the strong room and your duty station to ensure that unauthorized persons do not access it.
- Perform any other related duties as may be assigned or delegated by the Finance Manager/ management from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelors degree in related field from a recognized institution.
- At least five (5) years working experience in related field from a large manufacturing sector
- Age: 30 Years and above
- Numerate and very accurate with figures fraud prevention and control skills,
- Forgery/error detection and control skills,
- Ability to recognize and memorize signatures, computer literate
- Good leadership and supervisory skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
