Job Summary: Save the Children is seeking job applications for a Program Officer – Nutrition for a WFP- funded, implementing quality Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition (MCHN) and Targeted Supplementary Feeding Program (TSFP) sites activities at our field office in Kyaka II. The Program Officer Nutrition will work with Save the Children’s field office to ensure the prevention of stunting among children from 6 to 23 months and pregnant and lactating women in respect to the WFP standards and the increase of attendance for MNCH services and adequate and quality management of moderate acute malnutrition cases among children from 6 to 59 months and pregnant and lactating women, in respect to the IMAM guidelines and WFP standards.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Save the Children Programme Officer-Nutrition job must hold a Degree in Nutrition with a minimum experience of two years with NGOs.
- Working experience of one year in IMAM or Maternal and Child Health program.
- Experience in Nutrition Programs and Community work.
- Experience in training of volunteers on IMAM program.
- Good Interpersonal relations.
- Good capacity to work in a team and flexibility.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good writing and presentation skills
- English fluency (verbal and written) required and local language (preferred)
- Experience working in a refugee context.
