Job Summary: The Production Assistant – Workshop and Maintenance is responsible for supervising and coordinating maintenance activities for Uganda Clays Limited. The role is accountable for performing its duties in a safe, productive and cost-effective manner while maintaining compliance with health, environmental and safe regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contribute towards strategic & operational planning, ensuring that the factory machinery supports accomplishment of production targets.
- Ensure that Operation of machinery & vehicles are fully Maintained.
- Designing and redesigning mechanical systems.
- Ensure that Uganda Clays’ quality and safety procedures are implemented in the maintenance department at all times.
- To lead the maintenance Team in a manner that empowers them to efficiently produce correct standards and quantity of Products.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Degree in mechanical engineering
- At least four years of experience in manufacturing companies.
- Experience in team leadership
- Good communication skills
- Computer aided design skills
- Good analytical skills
- Good communication skills
- Good analytical skills
- Good knowledge in material science
