Job Summary: The Project Officer, Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health will be responsible for providing support to community and health facilities to ensure access to ASRH information and services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- He/She will coordinate implementation schools based and out of school ASRH interventions
- Participate in quality planning, implementation, monitoring
- & evaluation and reporting of the Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health interventions.
- Take responsibility for increasing the participation of Adolescents and parents in the project
- Adapt/Develop materials related to sexual reproductive health, including training packages, assessment tools for smooth roll out and implementation of sexual reproductive health project component.
- Ensure smooth operation of adolescent sexual reproductive health activities, by implementing and monitoring ongoing activities; ensuring they are on schedule, are in line with budget and agreed results framework, yield expected results, and are reported on time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Degree in Health, social sciences, and other relevant qualifications.
- At least three years of working experience in planning and implementing development programmes in Uganda.
- At least three years of working on youth development programmes including ASRH.
- Willingness to work in a rural setting with ability to ride a motorcycle
- Highly developed ability to work with both adults and youth Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Fluency in languages used in the Eastern region particularly Samia and Lusoga will be an added advantage
- Flexible and can adapt to prevailing environment.
