Goethe-Zentrum Kampala/ UGCS offering Funding for Projects in the field of Art and Culture – Uganda.
Goethe-Zentrum Kampala/ UGCS is offering funding for locally based projects in the different fields of art and culture.
Three selected applicants will receive 2.000.000 UGX to implement their project.
Please follow the rules and regulations for application below.
This call for projects targets the following disciplines:
- Visual Arts
- Performance Art
- Photography
- Fashion
- Design
- Digital Arts
- Film/ Video Art
- Literature
- Theatre
- Dance
- Poetry/Spoken Word
- MusicCriteria of eligibility:
Eligible projects must:
- Be led by individuals living in Uganda being 18 years or above
- Be implemented in Uganda
- Fall under one of the fields of art mentioned aboveSpecial consideration will be given to projects that:
- Use innovative, witty approaches in the field of the arts
- Aim to strengthen the creative exchange between artists and different art forms
- Address relevant issues of Ugandan society.What we offer:
- A project grant amounting to 2.000.000 UGX max.
- Our rooftop terrace or conference room as a venue free of charge if desired
- Support in improving the project’s concept, budget and feasibility if needed.How to apply?
Your application should include:
- Concept note/ project description
- Motivation
- Strategies for implementation of the project
- Aim(s) the project is targeting
- Estimated total budget and financing plan
- CV or portfolio of the project’s holder.Annual application deadlines:
- Projects to be realized between May and August: March 31st
- Projects to be realized between September and December: July 31st
- Projects to be realized between January and March: November 30th.Applications Accepted All Year Round!

I have run my family with difficulty. Now I have lost everything and become a beggar. I swear to Allah I cannot stand my family. I don’t want much from you. You donate whatever you can. As a father, a boy begs his father to protect my family. I’m on your feet, my father protects my family. Father I know there are some rules for grants. But I don’t have any organization to follow that rule. A father helps his child the way he does. A son begs his father privately. I am your son like other your son. Oh dad, I cannot carry my family anymore. I am requesting you so much, don’t feel any pity? I know you are the most charitable person of the world. I know you are widely regarded as one of the greatest charitable man in the History of the world. Cannot you overcome my lake of family? I will be tired of your servant. Allah has made you rich and came to earth to help poor and helpless, shelter less and orphan people. But even after calling my parents so many times, no one helps. There is not a single mercy in your mind. Please mercy this helpless man. O father please give me one last time. I don’t want a lot of resources from you. Just want something to survive. Thousands of helpless people like on the earth because you are so kind. Not a single point of my belief, sir, is a lie Please help me some money to do something and bear my family. Please give me the gift of Allah. I know you are very kind merciful. Only you can help me otherwise no way without Suicide. I’d like to ask you for some money that you donate fakirs. Father I grabbed your leg save my family. Already your generosity has saved many families on earth. I am telling all the officers of the organization to donate whatever they can. Really father the world is so beautiful as your kindness. Father please doesn’t give me back; give me as much as you can.
