AERC Call for Research Proposals

AERC Call for Research Proposals; The African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) is calling for Research Proposals from AERC network members and/or other researchers interested in undertaking country-based projects as part of the AERC collaborative research project on Understanding the Links between Growth and Poverty Reduction in Africa.

Projects can be country case studies using methodologies drawn from the propoor growth literature, or country-based studies that empirically investigate one or more of the specific linkages between growth and poverty reduction that are addressed in the project framework papers, whether at a household, spatial or national level.

Eligibility Requirements:

Researchers based in the case study countries with all, or some, of the following profile are encouraged to submit a proposal.

At least one team member must have:

• Completed at least one AERC thematic project; and/or 

   

• Completed at least one AERC Collaborative Research Project; and/or 

   

• Participated in, or finalized, a research project on a relevant topic not necessarily funded by AERC; and/or 

   

• Participated in the workshop organized to review the framework papers for this project and/or 

   

• Participated in a relevant component of AERC Training Programme.
