Job Summary: We are looking for a reliable Project officer to implement our Knowledge management strategy. The successful candidate will work at the Family Concepts Center offices situated on plot 13 Kyeyune Road in Iganga Municipality. The Project officer (Knowledge Management) at Family Concepts Center (FCC) manages key knowledge assets, products and programs for Family Concepts Center. Knowledge management responsibilities include developing and building product awareness about the different FCC knowledge assets and products; increasing visibility of the FCC knowledge and resource center, and acquisition of new clients. The project officer (knowledge management) will also carry project management responsibilities. Project management responsibilities include the development of projects and programs, coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope, and resource mobilization. In this portfolio the project officer will oversee all aspects of projects, set deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor and summarize progress of the projects. He or she will prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project. The successful candidate will work directly under the Executive Director or other designated person.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and build product awareness for:
- The FCC’s “Personal Development Programs” including its flagship “Road to Success program”, Life Coach Trainers’ Course, and the Life challenge coaching program
- The FCC’s “Professional and Business services” products including its Program Development services, relationship counseling and support program services, Professional writing services, Program Monitoring & Evaluation services, and its Business building tools and services program
- The FCC’s “Performance planning and management program” including its performance assessment program, recruitment Support & Onboarding training program, and its Remedial classes & Coaching program
- The FCC’s Career Development & Management assets and products including its online Job search program, Interview advice and preparation program, and its career guidance program
- The FCC’s digital assets and products including its “E- services & support tools”, E-workshop facilities; Digital break-away meeting rooms; Digital classrooms; Webinars; E-Newspapers, online coaching and live broadcast services).
- The FCC’s Data repository & Research assets and services” including its secretarial service package, Data repository & Research services, and its Editing & document review services.
Promote and facilitate the sign up of clients for the FCC’s knowledge assets. Products and programs including:
- Building a list serve and E-mail list on Aweber and other digital marketing platforms
- Conducting outreach campaigns/activities to educational, employer and other institutions to popularize the FCC’s knowledge assets, products and programs
- Developing and implementing the Center’s “Support A Cause” programs as part of a campaign to promote its knowledge assets and products – includes developing tools that guiding the creation of value that individuals and institutions can buy
- Writing action-oriented Newsletters, blogs etc.to educate prospects on the different knowledge assets and products including highlighting the value addition to prospects and calling them to action to register or sign up for the assets and products
Develop issue-specific solution packages and market them to interest groups (e.g. donors) to address community and societal issues e.g. teenage pregnancies, HIV/AIDS, Social protection etc. including:
- Developing and implementing strategies to directly appeal to influencers and gate keepers of potential clients to promote and support FCC’s knowledge assets and products
- Conducting targeted campaigns-including media campaigns, to potential clients to promote the FCC’s knowledge assets and products
Develop comprehensive project plans and budgets to be shared with donors as well as other partners
Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A Bachelors Degree in Business Administration (BBA) with a bias in marketing, Development studies, social sciences, education or other related disciplines
- Project planning and Management skills
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, project management, and/or other related fields with demonstrated successful experience managing projects
- A certificate or diploma in a computer-related field or equivalent;
- Possess the following skills: effective presentation, report writing and ability to work individually.
- Excellent problem solving, communications, and organizational skills
- Verbal Communication
- Understanding of software security models
- Understanding of cloud computing models Graphics or photo imaging software
- Office suite software (Microsoft Office)
- Presentation software (Microsoft PowerPoint)
- Spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel)
- Word processing software (Microsoft Word)
