Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation -Uganda (Baylor-Uganda) is an indigenous not-for-profit child health and development organisation affiliated to the Baylor College of Medicine International Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI), a Network of paediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment Children’s Clinical Centres of Excellence and international program offices in 11 countries across Africa and Eastern Europe.
Job Summary: The M&E Officer will be responsible for reviewing and implementing M & E management systems and guidelines for measuring and tracking project performance of the regional referral hospital.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in development and review of project PMP and evaluations;
- Develop periodic M&E work plans and budgets;
- Build the capacity of health workers in data management and utilization;
- Collect, validate, analyse and share periodic results for performance monitoring;
- Conduct periodic review meetings and action tracking.
- Provide necessary data tools and monitor usage by health workers.
- Provide technical support in data documentation;
- Compile and submit timely reports;
- Maintain a proper filing system for patient records;
- Provide technical support to ensure a fully functional UGANDAEMR/POC and all project health information Systems used by the hospital.
- Respond to project data calls. Supervise and maintain a competent & motivated M&E team
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics /demography /qualitative economics.
- The candidate must have at least two years of experience working with national and PEPFAR M&E systems i.e. UGANDAEMR, DHIS2, OVCMIS and HIBRID; and at least 2 years’ experience in Log Frame Approach in planning, monitoring and evaluation; The candidate;
- The candidate must be knowledgeable about PEPFAR Indicators
- Proficient in data management and analysis using packages Ms-Access, SPSS, STATA, SQL, Excel
