Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Observes and always implements the company’s HSE policies and practices and Implements MAESTRO LOG expectations
  • Oversee and management of fuel handling on different storage locations including fuel stock management, stock counts, daily, weekly, monthly inventory cycle counts
  • Ascertains that calibration charts and dipsticks for all trucks entering the fuel storage are valid, checks that the working portable metrological equipment are in good working condition at all times.
  • Supervises the tank dipping and on a daily basis and participates in the physical stock determination and ensures the test schedules of Safety Critical Barriers as listed in the fuel Technical Integrity test program and failures reported
  • Follows up the preventative and corrective. maintenance of all equipment in the storage facility using the tool and participates in the follow-up of truck defects with transport team.
  • Ensures that all outlets and inlets on all delivery trucks are sealed before off loading, participate in the fuel storage equipment maintenance, calibration, performs and supervises first-level maintenance of equipment as per the preventive maintenance
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations and submit the report to Hierarchy
  • Perform Fuel management Audits and SQM for the Fuel contractors under are of responsibility
  • Perform regular inspection of equipment and vehicles used by the Fuel provider to ensure they are in a safe working condition
  • Ensure that all the Journey Management Plans for all planned and unplanned journeys for the Fuel service providers
  • Review and develop Fuel management and operating procedures

HSE

  • Ensure and promote Safety and compliance with standards and procedures and implement on site periodic Safety campaigns especially for road transportation.
  • Continuously analyze risks, ensure the logistics means for project & affiliate emergency plans are operational. Cost Control and Budget
  • Monitor and optimize the cost of logistics operations (especially transportation), as per Company initiatives (LEAN, ,3 C). Feedback and Lesson Learned
  • Gather ‘lessons learnt’ and provide feedback to different entities for continuous improvement of procedures, contractors and consolidation of KPIs/CPIs.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration, Transport and Logistics Management, Procurement & Supply Chain
  • At least ten years of experience in Logistics operations and Fuel management operations in Depo operations at Supervision level
  • Training and Extensive knowledge in the Fuel Management Systems, Depot management, Bulk Fuel storage transportation
  • Extensive knowledge in Road Transport Safety, Inventory management, Land Transport management
  • Good command of English knowledge and experience in ERP systems including SAP and database management including MS access, word, project, excel.
  • Leadership, proactive, adheres to the COMPANY values, analytical and anticipation skilled with organizational rigor.
  • Able to work under pressure and stressing conditions, in autonomy, adapt, communicate, and integrate in different environment. Active team player with ability to manage and integrate with others in different functions and environment
