Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) is a public affiliated organization of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Republic of Korea.
KOFIH has been active in Uganda since 2017. In collaboration with Ministry of Health, Uganda, KOFIH has implemented various projects with the aim of strengthening the Health system through projects like Emergency Medical Services, Tuberculosis Control, Community Health Workers, Infectious Diseases as well as Capacity Building of various health professionals including Administrators, Doctors, Nurses and Biomedical Engineers.
Job Summary: KOFIH is expanding its field on operation and project implementation in 2022. As a result of this expansion, KOFIH Uganda office seeks to recruit highly motivated and qualified professionals to fill up the following full-time positions.
Project Manager (1)
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of operational policy, strategy, guidelines and standards operating procedures
- Actively participate in strategic planning process and provide technical support in project management
- Track project activities to ensure they are delivered within the stipulated budget and time framework
- Review status reports for partners and address issues as appropriate
- Provide technical, administrative and management support to implementing partners
- Conduct research on project information regarding successful case studies
- Support implementation of evidence and data driven interventions to inform policy at strategic and operation levels
- Conduct monitoring and evaluation for the project (frequent field visit will be required)
- Perform any other duties as required by the senior management team
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Must hold a graduate qualification in Nursing, Public Health or International development or any other related field
- Possession of additional training and experience in Public health will be an added advantage
- Three to five years of experience in Public Health project management.
- Strong knowledge on public health programs and approaches cost effective project management
- A highly motivated team player with ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
- Strong planning, presentation, and reporting skills
- Competent in use of advanced computer skills (SPSS, Microsoft office including Excel, word, PowerPoint)
- Should be fluent in oral and written English with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Stakeholders and Partner collaboration and engagement skills
