Job Summary:  The  Software  Developer’s  role  is  to  design,  implement,  customize,  configure,  and  maintain  business  critical  software  programs  and  application  systems  across  the  institution,  initially  focused  on  enhancing  and  optimizing  the  existing  business  application  systems  and  supporting  the  ongoing  Digital  Transformation  initiatives.  The  role  involves  meeting  with  stakeholders  to  determine  their  functional  needs,  coding,  testing,  and  debugging  software  to  ensure  functionality  is  aligned  to  business  needs.  The  Software  Developer  will  be  responsible  for  ensuring  that  the  functionality  of  the  existing  systems  and  other  systems  he/she  might  develop  meet  current  and  future  needs  of  the  Organization.  This  position  is  responsible  to  the  Manager  –Innovations  and  Business  Automation  and  as  such  will  assist  the  development  of  innovative,  transformative,  and  disruptive  business  application  systems  and  other  Information  Technology  systems  within  the  Organization.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, Develop/Implement,  Configure,  and  deploy  business  applications  and  other  Information  Technology  Systems  across  the  organization  aligned  to  business  needs  and  stakeholders’
  • Work in  collaboration  with  the  Marketing  and  Product  Development  department  to  compile  and  refine  software  requirements  for  new  customer  propositions  and  digital  transformation  initiatives  and  align  the  same  with  Pride’s  business
  • Develop software  configuration  specifications  for  new  business  applications  or  software  programs  to  ensure  business  alignment  and  conformity  to
  • Develop and  deploy  the  necessary  software  extension  or  customization  source  code,  implement  database  schemas  and  tables,  capture  existing  information  and  plan  the  CRUD  (Create,  Read,  Update,  Delete)  process  for  both  new  and  existing  software
  • Implement software  functionality  enhancements  or  modifications  as  agreed  with  the
  • Undertake adequate  User  Acceptance  Testing  (UAT)  of  all  functionalities,  reports,  and  system  components
  • Provide the  necessary  training  to  the  end-users  and  the  in-house  ICT  operations  support
  • Utilize appropriate  methodologies  and  Standard  Operating  Procedures  for  design  and  development  of  new  Software

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree  in  Computer  Science  or  Computer  Engineering,  Information  Technology  or  Information  Systems  or  Software  Engineering  or  a  related  field  with  hands-on  experience
  • At least five years of experience in software  development  preferably  working  in  Banking  or  Telecom  Sector
  • Five to eight years of  experience  of  programming  in  C++  or  J2EE  or  Python  or  PhP,  Ajax  or  JavaScript,  Transact  SQ,  mySQL,  Oracle,  Flatter  or  Ionic
  • Should possess  strong  hands-on  experience  in  design  and  development  of  web  applications,  ERPs,  Core  banking,  distributed  Systems  or  web-services.
  • Five years of desktop application  development
  • Age Limit: 35 Years
