Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services (UIBFS) is a Centre of Excellence in Financial Services Training in Uganda. The Institute is designed to promote professionalism, and inclusion through market-led training, research, and consultancy to providers and users of financial services. The Institute’s training programs cover Professional, Short & Executive, Specialized, and Post Graduate Courses.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day administration and continual modifications to the institute’s-learning platform including managing special projects when they arise.
- Coordinate the development and uploading of E-learning materials to the institute’s e-learning platform and the eventual delivery
- Publicize UIBFS e-Learning platforms to the Institute members and students to promote their usability among members
- Review the effectiveness of the e-learning platforms and advise management on the possible improvements in line with the Institute’s objectives
- Provide user support to lecturers/independent trainers in the application of the system during learning sessions
- Monitor and report on e-learning resource use across the various teaching platforms
- Coordinate the designing and implementation of a disaster recovery plan for the system as per the Institute’s objectives
- Monitor and maintain the integrity of learning content on the platform
- Plan, implement, and control user and account security rights and restriction
- Research and recommend the implementation of new technologies to improve the e-learning platform.
- Perform other lawful duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- An Honor’s Bachelor’s Degree in Information and Communication Technology or Library and Information Management or Business psychology or Organizational Psychology or any bachelor’s degree with an ICT qualification or ICT professional qualification from a recognized university/Institution
- Post-graduate qualification in any of the courses above is an added advantage
- Applicants should have a minimum of three (3) years of working experience in both hard and soft information management and knowledge management gained from a reputable organization in training and development function
- Application of the E-learning Platform, uploading learning materials on the platform, Designing training material, data analysis and Management
- Knowledge of effective learning and development methods
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices, project management and budgeting
- Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; sharp business acumen, content designing
- Document formatting and editing skills
