Job Summary:
The Programme Officer will coordinate the We Can Work Academy, focusing on the mobilization, preparation, assessment, and selection of participants. The role involves ensuring logistical support, catering for assistive technology needs, monitoring training delivery, and facilitating transitions for Youth With Disabilities (YWDs).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate planning and implementation of the We Can Work Academies.
- Liaise with expert organizations and specialists for training facilitation.
- Ensure reasonable accommodation and provision of assistive technology for participants.
- Monitor and report on Core Life Skills and entrepreneurship training quality.
- Manage budget for training activities and liaise with finance for budget revisions.
- Document activities, best practices, and case studies for reporting.
- Represent Light for the World in local/international meetings and forums.
- Network with other LFTW interventions for synergy and holistic approaches.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- University Degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- At least three years of project-related work experience, preferably with INGOs or NGOs.
- Experience in Core Life Skills and entrepreneurship project delivery.
- Knowledge of disability inclusion and experience working with organizations of persons with disabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office software packages.
- High levels of integrity, accountability, and honesty.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly to rural areas.
