Job Summary:
The Medical Representative will be responsible for the sales and marketing of pharmaceutical products in the Gulu branch. This involves new sales prospecting, negotiating deals, maintaining customer satisfaction, and working towards achieving sales targets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct sales and marketing activities to drive awareness and sales of pharmaceutical products to hospitals, pharmacies, and health institutions.
- Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and schedule visits to existing or potential clients.
- Review and strive to meet sales performance targets.
- Prepare and adjust sales presentations based on sales outlet types.
- Analyze existing and potential sales volumes.
- Submit orders, referencing price lists and product literature.
- Provide activity and results reports, including daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly/annual analyses.
- Monitor competition and gather market information on pricing, products, new developments, etc.
- Suggest changes in products, services, and policies based on evaluations.
- Handle customer complaints by investigating issues, developing solutions, and making recommendations.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, professional publications, networks, and societies.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Diploma in Pharmacy or a related medical field.
- At least one year of experience in pharma marketing.
- Persuasive, hardworking, quick decision-making skills, and familiar with the regional market.
- Knowledge and experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, and marketing fields.
- Analytical, strategic, team-building, and networking abilities.
- Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
