Administration and Finance Officer Position at Insieme si può (ISP) in Kampala, Uganda

Insieme si può (ISP), a non-profit NGO committed to supporting vulnerable groups in local and global communities, is seeking a qualified and experienced Administration and Finance Officer for its office in Kampala, Uganda. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, dynamic individual passionate about serving vulnerable categories and building a more just society.

About the Role:

The Administration and Finance Officer will be responsible for running the administration and finance department of ISP. This role involves preparing financial plans, reports, managing human resources, ensuring compliance with regulations, and overseeing procurement and transportation procedures.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participating in the preparation of financial plans for programs.
  • Preparing financial reports for donors and partners.
  • Supervising cash payments and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Managing payroll, utilities, vehicle maintenance, and human resources.
  • Facilitating agreements and communications with authorities and partners.
  • Compiling financial reports and conducting budget analyses.
  • Ensuring compliance with procurement procedures and URA requirements.
  • Coordinating transportation for project materials.
  • Managing visa applications for expatriate staff and ensuring compliance with NGO bureau requirements.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Administration or equivalent in related fields.
  • Master’s degree in relevant fields is an added advantage.
  • At least five years of relevant experience with international NGOs.
  • Proficiency in Excel and computer applications.
  • Experience in Quickbooks is advantageous.
  • Experience in payroll management and tax returns through E-filling system.
  • Fluency in Luganda and/or Karimojong is preferred.
