Job Summary:
The Lead, Digital Controls will be responsible for driving the framework, oversight, and monitoring of the control environment within the Business. They will work as an internal consultant to the business to manage the Bank’s assets through effective risk management and control systems, aiming to mitigate risk in transactions and underlying processes, in partnership with other assurance functions. Additionally, they will support the delivery of independent assurance on the effectiveness of controls across the business.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Manager Internal control in establishing the “First Line of Defence” for the controls applied to processes in-country through walk-through checks on controls.
- Undertake checks in Operations according to the agreed schedule to ensure that procedures and controls are maintained within prescribed and acceptable parameters.
- Improve the functionality of control processes by playing a full end-to-end role in identification, testing, reporting, and implementation of initiatives.
- Provide training and awareness on control processes.
- Prepare and report on control dashboards and reviews.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- First degree in Business, Accounting, Banking, or Finance-related field.
- Professional Accounting or Internal Control Qualification will be an added advantage.
- 3 to 4 years of control experience in banking operations with an understanding of complex operations in the financial services sector.
- Experience in bank processes, products, and systems, with the ability to engage with different stakeholders.
- Sound experience in gathering, analyzing, and reporting information using digital forensic tools for conducting digital forensic investigations.
