University of Gastronomic Sciences Masters Scholarship for Lower and Middle-Income Countries in Italy, 2017/18

University of Gastronomic Sciences is inviting applications from citizens from low-income countries or lower-middle-income or upper-middle-income countries to apply for its Masters Scholarship programme for the 2017-2018 academic year.

The University of Gastronomic Sciences is an international academic institution in northern Italy. The campus is in Pollenzo, near Bra, a city in the north-west region of Piedmont. The University of Gastronomic Sciences studies, created and promoted in  2004  by the International  Slow Food in collaboration with the regions of Piedmont and Emilia-Romagna , a university is not legally recognized by the Italian state was.

Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue Master degree programme.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded for Master of Gastronomy programs – either Master of Gastronomy: Food in the World (Food Cultures and Mobility) or Master of Gastronomy: Food in the World (Food Ecologies and Sovereignty) for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Scholarship Award: Scholarships of € 16,500 (fee exemption) plus student housing and lunch service will be awarded.

Number of Scholarships: Two scholarships will be awarded.

Scholarship can be taken in Italy

Eligibility: Citizens from low-income countries, lower-middle-income, and upper-middle-income countries according to the World Bank can apply for a university scholarship according to the table above if they meet the following requirements:

  • Be in possession of a minimum level of English language equivalent to a C1-level, (in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). The candidate must be interviewed by UNISG professors via Skype (use of the webcam required) in order to verify the aforementioned minimum English language requirement;
  • Income and property situation does not exceed the limits indicated above
  • Be in possession of the merit requirements stated in Articles 2 and 4 below
  • Have completed the pre-enrollment procedures to the Master of Gastronomy for the 2017-2018 academic year.
  • Be subsequently enrolled as a regular student in the program.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have their previous degree.

English Language Requirements: Applicants must be in possession of a minimum level of English language equivalent to a C1-level, (in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

Master Scholarships

How to Apply: The complete required documentation must arrive before 12:00 noon on July 3, 2017. Documents may be submitted either in person, by mail via registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt, or by international courier, at the Registrar Office by post.

Application Deadline: Scholarship application deadline is July 3, 2017.
