Makerere University Master of Health Sciences in Bioethics Applications 2016 / 2017

The Office of the Academic Registrar, Makerere University invites applications from suitable candidates for admission to a Master of Health Sciences in Bioethics (MHSc. Bioethics) fulltime programme for Academic Year 2016/2017.  It is a two-year programme open to both Ugandans and International applicants. Partial scholarships (Tuition) will be available for all Successful Applicants.

Admission requirements

a) Applicants should have obtained at least a 1st good degree from a recognized University/Institution in any field.
b) Have Passed Uganda Certificate of Education ( UCE) with at least 5 passes
c) Have 2 principal Passes and 2 subsidiary passes at A’ Level or the Equivalent.
d) Must pass the entry interview.
e) Must be proficient in English

Applications Procedure

1. Hard copies of application forms can be obtained from Directorate of Research and Graduate Training, 3rd Floor Senate Building, Room 307  after payment of Ug.Shs.50,000/= (Ugandan Applicants) and Ug.Shs.151,500 (International Applicants) to any Stanbic Bank, DFCU Bank, Centenary Rural Development Bank, Crane Bank or Post Bank using Makerere University paying-in-bankslips. The Application  and refree forms can be downloaded from: https://www.mak.ac.ug/admissions/application-forms

2. Completed application forms together with two passport photographs, two certified copies of academic transcripts/certificates, copies of both ‘O’ and ‘A’ level  and letters of referees  should be returned to the Directorate of Research and Graduate Training Room 307 by 29th July 2016

3. A brief personal Motivation statement (not more than 3 pages) should be submitted with the Application form.
