ACCT Uganda Examinations
ACCREDITED BY NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR HIGHER EDUCATION (NCHE)
African College of Commerce & Technology (ACCT) is Accredited by the National Council for Higher Education as an Institution of Higher Learning in Uganda. ACCT is therefore, a recognized Institution and mandated by the Government of Uganda to teach, examine and award its students Diplomas and Certificates which by law are recognised for employment, upgrading to University and other Professional studies.
AFFILIATED TO MAKERERE UNIVERSITY BUSINESS SCHOOL (MUBS)
African College of Commerce & Technology is affiliated to Makerere University Business School for
Certificates and Diploma programmes. Under this arrangement, training is conducted at ACCT Campus
while the examinations and awards are by MUBS. ACCT is the only institution in western Uganda that
is affiliated to MUBS.
AFFILIATED TO KYAMBOGO UNIVERSITY (KYU)
ACCT is affiliated to Kyambogo University for a Diploma of Instructor in Technical Teacher Education DITTE. The Target group the instructors in Technical and Vocational Institutions. ACCT is the only institution in Western Uganda affiliated to Kyambogo University for the DITTE programme.
UGANDA BUSINESS & TECHNICAL EXAMINATIONS BOARD (UBTEB)
The Institution has Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board centre Nos.UBB062 and UBT238 for the award of Certificate and Diplomas in Business and Technical programmes respectively. Under this arrangement, training is conducted at ACCT Campus while the Examinations and awards are by UBTEB.
DIRECTORATE OF INDUSTRIAL TRAINING (DIT)
African College of Commerce & Technology has a Competence Testing Centre No. UVQF221 for the
Uganda Qualification Framework (UVQF) of the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT). For about
five years now, ACCT in collaboration with the Ministry of Education train the youth under the skilling
Uganda strategy and are assessed and awarded by DIT.
