Administration Supervisor Position at Opportunity Bank (OBUL) in Kampala, Uganda

Opportunity Bank Uganda Ltd (OBUL), a member of the global microfinance institution Opportunity International, is looking for an Administration Supervisor to join our team in Kampala, Uganda. About the Role:

The Administration Supervisor will oversee and monitor the Bank’s General Administrative function to ensure smooth operations and adequate support to branches. This includes managing the entire fleet, reception, support staff, bank assets, insurance policies and claims, stock, stationary, and leased services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing strategy for Fleet, Stock, Asset Management, and related functions.
  • Managing the lifecycle of bank assets.
  • Overseeing the insurance portfolio, including policy maintenance and claims.
  • Managing stock functions, ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Ensuring accurate invoicing and timely payment in administration services.
  • Implementing controls in procurement related to administration needs.
  • Managing contracts for leased services.
  • Supervising courier management activities.
  • Providing oversight of all fleet functions.
  • Leading and supervising the team within the unit.
  • Preparing and delivering reports.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in CIPS or similar, and a driving license (category B).
  • At least three years of experience in the financial sector or a similar organization.
  • Knowledge of Ugandan banking regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, numerical, and process management skills.
  • Proficiency in vehicle maintenance activities and people management.
  • Ability to influence, persuade, and present to stakeholders.
  • Advanced planning, management, and report writing skills.
