Job Summary:
The Administrative, Finance and Logistics Assistant will oversee the implementation of administrative, financial, and logistics policies and procedures for ASF in East Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accountancy, including payment requisitions, cash payments, petty cash book, and document archiving.
  • Handle cash safe maintenance, weekly and monthly cash counts, and filing of transaction documents.
  • Record and track operational advances to staff and assist in efficient closure of these advances.
  • Manage office administration, including planning for recurrent expenditures and managing mails.
  • Support field missions, ensuring adherence to administrative and financial procedures.
  • Assist in logistical and inventory management, updating inventory and assets register.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Financial Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in accounting and financial management.
  • At least one year in a similar role, preferably with an NGO. Experience in Logistics and Administration is an asset.
  • Proficient in IT and well-known NGO accounting software, with advanced Excel and Word skills.
  • High ethical values, excellent interpersonal skills, and multitasking capacity.
  • Fluency in English; working knowledge of French is advantageous.
  • Possession of a driver’s license.
  • Motivated to work in a multicultural and international organization.
