Africa Renewal University Accreditation

On June 28, 2010, the Uganda National Council for Higher Education granted Gaba Bible Institute (later renamed to Africa Renewal University) a Provisional License as a Private Tertiary Institution. This recognition made Gaba Bible Institute one of only seven Christian colleges and universities recognized by the government in Uganda in 2010.

On December 19, 2012, Africa Renewal University was awarded a Letter of Interim Authority as a Private University and received a Provisional License as a Private University on December 20, 2013. This allowed ARU to immediately begin admitting students into its bachelor’s degree programs.

Africa Renewal University is also a correspondent member of the Accrediting Council for Theological Education in Africa, which promotes quality evangelical theological education in Africa by providing supporting services, facilitating academic recognition, and fostering continental and intercontinental cooperation.
