Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Drives Area profit by effectively managing P&L and balance sheet (ROIC)
  • Provides effective leadership and direction to ensure coordination between Sales, Operations, and Administration
  • Manage and champion all QHSE policy and procedures, promoting safe working practices
  • Ensures the appropriate mix and allocation of fleet throughout the area
  • Maintains deep market awareness; stays in touch with market trends including economic, environmental and competitive forces influencing the market
  • Creates and executes specific plans to identify opportunities that drive market/customer penetration (i.e. “grows the business”)
  • Creates and maintains relationships at key levels with select customers and accounts
  • Effectively partners with Head Office resources to accomplish business objectives and drive functional initiatives
  • Contributes to the development of overall business strategy and creates alignment for each role in the Area to contribute to the organization’s success
  • Sets high standards, establishes clear objectives and holds team accountable for performance
  • Personally, champions and ensures effective adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Effectively utilizes full authority for all personnel decisions (staffing levels, hiring, termination, promotion, salary administration, etc.)
  • Partnering with HR ensures that Area attracts, develops and retains the highest quality talent available in the market place
  • Effectively shares in the ownership and execution of decisions made by Executive Management Team
  • Champions continuous improvement initiatives (Orange Excellence)
  • Able to travel extensively throughout the area
  • Full participation and support to Orange Excellence initiatives and projects
  • Comply with all OHS policies and procedures. Manual handling techniques practice safe work habits following Aggreko Health, Safety and Environment policies, wear PPE clothing provided. Take a consultative role in assisting and maintaining a clean, tidy work area and a healthy and safe working environment

Job Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant area highly desired
  • Several years experience in customer service delivery at a management level, and customer relationship management in Gauteng preferably to the mining and or construction sectors
  • An entrepreneurial extrovert who excels at developing customer relations and networking
  • Knowledge of Oil & Gas, EPC, Utilities and Engineering sectors an advantage
  • Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of contracts
  • Must be a team player and goal achiever
  • Knowledge of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferable
  • Successful track record and experience in managing P&L and balance sheet
  • PC literacy in a Microsoft environment or ERP system
  • Experience leading/managing a Sales, Operations and Administrative Teams
  • Experience managing in a multi-site operating environment
