About US:
The Leadership Code (Amendment) Act 2017 established the Leadership Code Tribunal, consisting of a Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson and three other Members. For effective performance of the functions of the Tribunal, the Act provides for a Registrar of the Tribunal, other Officers and Staff as may be necessary. Section 19 A (2) provides that the Officers and staff of the Tribunal shall be appointed by the Public Service Commission, on terms and conditions determined by the Public Service Commission.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing custody for accounting records and documents;
- Processing deferred tax payments, tax returns and keeping records thereafter;
- Posting financial transactions, cashbooks, subsidiary ledgers to General Ledger and maintaining an up-to-date record of Books of Accounts;
- Preparing and reconciling payroll transaction reports;
- Entering transactions into the commitment control register;
- Keeping custody of cash/imprest, effecting payments and maintaining up-to-date cash book records;
- Preparing draft monthly reconciliation reports;
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Applicants should be Ugandans holding either A Diploma in Accounting; OR A Diploma in Business Studies/Administration with Accounting obtained from a recognized awarding Institution. OR Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education with Pre-Professional Accounting qualification such as Accounts Technicians Certificate (ATC); or Certificate in Accounting Technician (CAT) obtained from a recognized professional body accredited by the Institute of Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU).
- Applicants in all the above categories should have a minimum of three (3) years working experience as an Assistant Accountant in Government or from a reputable organization.
