Job Summary: The Assistant Program Officer will oversee the day to day implementation of gender focused community led development programs in Food Production and Food security, income generating projects, water, sanitation and environment awareness, Vision Commitment and Action (VGA), HIV /AIDS and Gender equality, Functional Adult Literacy (FAL) and early childhood development, women empowerment and microfinance in Oruka, Purongo, Nwoya District..
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Hunger Project (THP-U) Assistant Program Officer job must hold a University Degree in Social Work and Social Administration, Development Studies and Agriculture or any other relevant degree
- Four years of experience in managing development projects in not-for-profit organizations targeting rural farmers, marginalized groups
- Fluency in Luo
- A valid Motorcycle riding permit
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly computer literate.
- Self-motivated with ability to work under minimum supervision.
