Lubaga hospital is one of the oldest hospitals in Uganda having existed for over 100 years, being founded in 1899. It is the second oldest hospital in the country and has offered health care to millions of people during its long history of existence.

Over the years the hospital has built a reputation as a provider of affordable health care services and therefore has continued to attract and treat people of mainly midlevel and low level status.
