History of MIBM
MIBM is a private tertiary institution registered, licensed and accredited by the NCHE offering diploma & Certificate courses in the fields of business, computing, mass communication (Journalism), social sciences, vocational & short courses; all tailored towards provision of relevant skills to the learners to suit the job market needs as well as making them appreciate entrepreneurship as one of their career options.
With the institution’s future growth plans of becoming a university, the Governing Council found it necessary to change the institute name from Makerere institute of business and management to Makland institute of business and management and avoid conflict of interest with the already established makerere university. This was acknowledged by the NCHE
