History of Nsambya Hospital School of Nursing and Midwifery 

St. Francis Nsambya Hospital Training School is a one in three school, comprising of a Nursing, Midwifery and Laboratory schools. It is the training department of St. Francis Hospital. The school was started by Mother Kevin Kearner a Franciscan missionary sister from Ireland who also founded Nsambya hospital in 1903. She started an enrolled Midwifery school in 1919 in order to develop staff that would help her handle the many obstetrical problems that faced mothers and their unborn children at that time.

MISSION: To provide high quality health personnel enriched with theoretical knowledge and evidence based practice
