Background of Nsamizi Training Institute of Social Development Uganda

Nsamizi as a training institute is geared towards addressing training needs for the social sector. Nsamizi has over time developed innovative courses to meet the current needs of local governments and the labour market demands in general.
The Degree, Diploma and Certificate programs expose students to both theoretic and practical undertakings. Degree students are practically exposed through workshops tailored to specific Social Development issues and internships in agencies/institutions done twice during the three year program. The Diploma students undergo Block Placement field work in Sub counties around the country for 90 days under full time supervision and mentor-ship of an institute supervisor at the end of the first year of study and agency placement at the end of second year of study. Certificate students are exposed to block placement field work with full time supervision for 60 days.

The institute has a variety of certificate courses which are offered to expand on knowledge capabilities and create opportunities to upgrade the society. The courses that are offered at the institute are as follows;
